Malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve is an outstanding and pioneering Big 5 game reserve in the Eastern Cape, highlighting the importance of conservation coupled with responsible tourism. The reserve, one of the largest in South Africa, boasts five eco-systems, providing a sanctuary for a wide variety of birds and wildlife. Riverdene
Bayethe Tented Lodge is an authentic, but luxury, wilderness style lodge, using a mix of stone walls and thatched roofing in the main lodge, which overlooks a waterhole. The luxurious tented suites each have a private plunge pool, perfect for honeymooners.
Sarili Lodge is a private African thatch contemporary designed villa with a spacious deck overlooking the Bushman’s River in the southern section of the reserve. River view rooms each have a balcony with a view,

Eagles Crag Lodge is tucked away in a gorge, surrounded by forest vegetation, offering privacy and tranquillity. 9 contemporary junior suites each have an outdoor shower and their own private viewing deck with plunge pool.

Riverdene Family Lodge is a restored settler's lodge, the ideal lodge for families with young children. Riverdene offers light and airy interleading rooms - 3 pairs interleading, and 3 rooms which interlead in a row;
plus an outdoor activity area with zip line, climbing walls and other facilities to entertain the children.
Lobengula Lodge is tucked away in the depths of the bush, offering a tranquil escape. Boasting stylish interiors with African touches, there are
3 pool view rooms and 3 suites with private decking areas and plunge pools.
Long Lee Manor offers a distinctive Colonial experience in a restored Edwardian Manor house, originally built in 1910, offering two swimming pools and a spa.
Explorer Camp is a unique 2-night walking trail (October to April), ideal for guests looking for an adventurous and authentic option, with an ambience of a simple tented bush camp.
