Big 5 safari destination, in the Eastern Cape. Activities offered at Amakhala are morning
and afternoon game drives, in customised open 4x4 safari vehicles. There are various options for day activities - guided bush walks, bird-watching and cruising the Bushmans River.
Hlosi Game Lodge is a family-friendly lodge set on a tranquil hillside, overlooking undulating grasslands. Choose from a one-bedroom suite/tent for a romantic safari experience or a two-bedroom family suite/tent. The main lodge is surrounded by shady verandahs offering panoramic views across the savannah, or towards the swimming pool and sun deck.
Safari Lodge lies in a valley of indigenous bush, with an African tribal feel. The thatched safari suites have king-size beds draped with mosquito nets, canvas blinds and a private plunge pool. The central lounge and traditional boma area overlook a waterhole, and the relaxing fireside area for after dinner star-gazing.
Woodbury Lodge and Woodbury Tented Camp are spectacularly set against a cliff above
the Bushman’s River valley, offering views across the open bushveld. Woodbury Tented Camp consists of eight large comfortable en-suite tents all on raised bases, each with their own private decks. At Woodbury Lodge guests are accommodated in seven comfortably appointed stone–and–thatch lodges, each with a private deck with magnificent views over the plains.
Discreetly positioned in the bush at the top end of an open valley, Bush Lodge is an intimate camp with eight canvas and thatched safari tents, exuding a relaxed atmosphere offering cool minimalism and rustic charm. The tents are all comfortable and spacious, with a free- standing bath and romantic outside shower, a private viewing deck and plunge pool.
Located in the southern region of the reserve, Bukela Game Lodge is a tranquil lodge tucked away at the top of a hidden valley, overlooking thick vegetation. Each suite or tent is individually styled in African simplicity, but with no compromise on comfort. The main lodge has a sitting area with a central fireplace, boma and pool deck that overlooks a small dam.
