Tanzania boasts some of the most iconic game reserves in Africa, Serengeti National Park being perhaps the most renowned. In addition the Ngorongoro Crater floor teems with wildlife, whilst the Selous Game Reserve in the south of the country is larger than Switzerland. Lake Manyara National Park is one of the oldest in East Africa, and is famed for the tree-climbing lions. Tarangire National Park completes the picture of the main safari areas.
When you factor in the Great Lakes of Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika;
the annual animal migration; the Great Rift Valley; Mount Kilimanjaro;
and numerous smaller parks, reserves and conservancies, Tanzania really does offer everything that the avid safari-goer and wildlife enthusiast could want.
