Kruger, Kingdoms and Coast Semi-Escorted Tour

This is an African journey to some of South Africa’s finest scenic sights and most prolific Big Five game-viewing country.
You will visit the quaint historical mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest; the awe-inspiring landscape of Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window; the vast expanses of Kruger National Park, in pursuit of the legendary Big Five; eSwatini; the World Heritage Site of
Lake St Lucia; the city of Durban; and finally some chill time on the beach at the south coast town of Southbroom. This tour is a great balance between wild and tame, culture and creativity, and you’ll have experienced the majesty of this special corner of Africa.
You will tour in an air-conditioned minibus or small coach. The fewer the passengers the smaller the vehicle that will be used - with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 20 people. Accommodation on the tour (5 nights) will be of a 3-star standard.
Day 1
South African Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Johannesburg.
Days 2-3
Transfer to the hotel and under own arrangements for the rest of the day on Day 2. Day 3, begin your journey with a brief visit to downtown Johannesburg, then continue to the Apartheid Museum, the first of its kind, which illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid in South Africa.
Days 4-5
Depart Johannesburg and travel to the 'Land of the Rising Sun - Mpumalanga - via the magnificent Panorama Route, which starts at "Bourke's Luck Potholes" and ends at the "Three Rondavels". Time and weather permitting, stop at God's Window. On day 5 you will depart on an open vehicle safari through
the Kruger National Park. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers
a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Optional evening safari (at additional charge).
Day 6
Travel to the Royal Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) and enjoy a showcase of the traditional Swazi culture followed by lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. Continue to the Ngwenya Glass Works to see master craftsmen create beautiful sculptures and artwork from molten glass. After spending some time at the craft markets, arrive at your hotel located in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley.
Days 7-8
Enjoy a morning visit to the Swazi Candle Factory before travelling via Big Bend into KwaZulu-Natal. Embark on an afternoon scenic drive for views over Lake Jozini. As the setting sun transforms the sky into a tapestry of colours, stop for sundowners. The drive will be combined with a visit to a local and authentic Zulu homestead. On Day 8 you will transfer to the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve for an afternoon of game viewing.

Day 9
Continue the journey along the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu-Natal to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park - a World Heritage Site. At St Lucia, embark on an estuarine boat trip. See crocodiles, hippo and numerous bird species, including the majestic African Fish Eagle, in their natural habitat. Continue to Durban.
Days 10-13
This morning you will embark on a brief Durban City Tour where you will discover the cultural and historical contrasts of the city. The tour ends and you will be dropped-off at your chosen hotel on the tropical Indian Ocean Coastline. Sunshine, sea, and sand... the classic summer holiday trio,
only here you get it all year round.
Day 14
Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to Heathrow, via Johannesburg, with South African Airways.
