Mnemba Island Lodge is situated on an exclusive island just
4 kilometres off the north-eastern coast of Zanzibar in the azure Indian Ocean. Surrounded by an atoll of breathtaking coral reefs, it boasts some of Africa’s most wonderful dive sites. Each of the 12 private beach bandas on Mnemba Island has a spacious verandah and is hidden in the shade of a tropical beach forest, fringed by the pristine beaches that halo the Island. Sheer unpretentious paradise, the architecture of Mnemba Lodge offers rustic exclusivity and privacy. Thatched dining and sitting/bar areas have beautiful open views of the beach and spectacular coral reefs beyond. Baskets of fresh fruit, fish, lobsters, crabs and prawns are sailed into Mnemba daily on traditional ngalawa outriggers, and prepared as exotic delicacies. Two dives daily, led by experienced dive instructors, are included in your stay at Mnemba Island (please note that a valid diving certificate is required.) The island is a protected nesting place for green turtles, so they abound in the surrounding waters. Humpback whales roam offshore, along with dolphins and whale sharks. All that, and hundreds of species of coral reef fish, and you've got a scuba and snorkel paradise where the clear blue seas provide unsurpassed visibility for both snorkelling and scuba diving enthusiasts.

Kilindi Zanzibar comprises of a series of white-domed Pavilion guest rooms all set in 50 acres of lush tropical gardens. Originally designed for Benny Andersson - one of the members of the 1970's pop group ABBA - Kilindi is a true blend of the very best of diverse cultures to be found in Tanzania and on its adjacent island of Zanzibar. Kilindi achieves the perfect marriage between Scandinavian minimalism and the dramatic architectural overtones of Middle Eastern heritage, whilst encouraging an open air, 'back-to-nature' ambience throughout. In each of the Pavilion Suites, white wooden-slatted shutters embrace wide-arched glassless windows, each affording spectacular views over the Indian Ocean. Pavilion Suites each have cascading waterfall pools, magnificent ocean views and butler service. These uniquely designed rooms
have a domed bed chamber with stained glass skylight and a spacious wet
room with a rainfall shower, the beds having a 'Cool Air' air-conditioning system over and around the bed. Kilindi also boasts a fine dining room with a lovely alfresco terrace and spacious public sitting area just near to the bar.
