ADVENTURE
INSPIRING NEW WAYS
Adventure in Africa
What’s on your bucket list?
Africa is the birthplace of adventure travel, with the first 'grand safaris' allowing people to see Africa the way many think it should be seen - on the ground, meeting the locals and experiencing Africa at its untamed best. We fully subscribe to this type of travel and there are plenty of great adventures on offer. Over the next four pages you can be assured that a genuine adventure travel experience awaits you.
Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya Climb
Mount Kilimanjaro, ‘The Roof of Africa’ is the highest peak in Africa (5 895 metres/19 342 feet), and you can climb it with the comfort of knowing that we have your safety and well-being as paramount. The climb will be a physical and a mental personal challenge and something you will remember for the rest of your days - it really is that special. Mount Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain, venerated by the Kikuyu people as the dwelling place of their God - Kikuyu homes were once built to face the mountain. Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya can be climbed by any physically fit person and no climbing experience is necessary, but you do need to be pretty fit and well prepared.
Shark Cage Diving
The little town of Kleinbaai in South Africa, close to Hermanus and Gansbaai, is the site for one of the most amazing experiences on offer.
Board your shark-chaser (!), climb into a large cage which is then lowered into the water, and you will soon have an opportunity to come face to face with a Great White Shark, separated only by galvanised steel mesh.
That has to classify as an adventure, surely?
