TANZANIA
Southern Tanzania is still relatively unknown on the safari circuit yet offers some of the very best safari country in Africa. The Selous Reserve and Ruaha National Park are large and quite wild, great if you don’t want to see too many other vehicles. In true modern-day safari tradition you will finish with a few days on the beach, unspoilt Tanzanian-style.
Mafia Island is an alternative beach extension, very laid back and traditional, so please contact us for your tailor-made quote.

9 Nights
Day 1
A light aircraft flight this morning from Dar-es-Salaam to
Ruaha National Park, the largest National Park in Tanzania.
For those looking for a genuine African wilderness experience, Ruaha National Park will satisfy your urges. 3 nights at Jongomero.
Day 4
Another light aircraft flight, to the mighty Selous Game Reserve. At approximately 50,000 sq km Selous is almost twice the size of Belgium, and if you include the Selous ecosystem as a whole, which is made up of a few conservation areas, the area covers over 90,000 sq km of wilderness. To put it another way,
that’s only 30% smaller than England. I think you get what
we are trying to say – it’s big!
Day 7
Fly to the Tanzanian Coast today and Ras Kutani, an idyllic beach getaway on the Indian Ocean. Well-appointed bandas (posh beach huts) are scattered in the coastal forest adjacent to long stretches of pristine beach and the inviting ocean. After the excitement and action of your safari you can spend the next
3 nights/4 days at Ras Kutani reflecting on your adventure.
Day 10
Back to Dar-es-Salaam for your onward journey.
