Day 01
Overnight flight from UK to Johannesburg.
Days 2-5
On arrival into OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport you will be met and transferred by road (approx. 2 hours) to the Welgevonden Game Reserve in Limpopo Province. Welgevonden Reserve is a declared heritage site of 37,000 hectares adjoining the Marakele National Park in the breathtaking Waterberg Biosphere. A true bushveld environment and home to Africa’s most sought after game species, with one of the largest collections of white rhino. From your lodge, where you will stay for the next 3 nights, join a guided safari or specialised bush walk with an experienced ranger to view elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and many other antelope species with the opportunity to spot the aardvark, brown hyena or the rarely
seen honey badger and bush pig. After your safari spend an overnight in Johannesburg.
Days 6-12
Early this morning you will be transferred back to Johannesburg airport for your 4 hour flight to Mauritius. Relax in the sophisticated surroundings of your resort hotel and enjoy the beaches and many other activities and leisure facilities on offer in this tropical playground. With fine seafood and talented chefs, the culinary experience is also a good one. Most of the resorts have full kids and teen clubs on site. Mauritius is also a popular destination for people to get married or to visit on honeymoon.
Your stay on this beautiful tropical island can be as relaxing or activity filled as you wish. The hotels and resorts are sophisticated with a large range of activities on offer. These include comprehensive watersports facilities, tennis courts, gyms and diving schools. The deep sea fishing in Mauritius is amongst the best in the world and available from all of the hotels. There are several golf courses available on the island. Other activities include scenic helicopter flights, a Submarine Safari, full and half day catamaran cruises and trips to nearby islands, or an organized excursion to Black River Gorge National Park, Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, Grand Bassin sacred lake, Domaine du Chasseur, or the crowded, loud & colourful capital city of Port Louis.
Day 13
You will be collected and returned to Mauritius airport in time for return flight to the UK.
