This itinerary, with a private car and driver, combines a visit to the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park - with its unique wildlife, orchids and other rare plants, many species of lemurs, reptiles, amphibians - and the paradise island of Sainte Marie. A short highlights trip to this amazing island.
Days 1 and 2
Overnight flight from the UK to Antananarivo, for an overnight stay including a city tour.
Days 3-5
Drive to Andasibe–Mantadia National park, 31⁄2 hours travelling through the highlands with their paddy fields and red-brick houses, for a 3 night stay. Enjoy full day excursions to the Rainforest of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Night walk in Perinet and at V.O.I.M.M.A Community Reserve.
Days 6-7
Head east to Manambato where you will be transferred by boat to Akanin’ny nofy with its rich and evergreen eastern coastal forest, for a 2 night stay. Visit the Palmarium reserve.
Days 8-11
Take a boat transfer to Toamasina, about 3 hours. On the way, you will have the opportunity to see the everyday life of the local people living along the Pangalanes channel. Once in Toamasina, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Îles Sainte Marie, where you will enjoy 4 nights at leisure. Beaches, coconut palms and a cheerful population, the island is perfect for sea and land excursions. Its lush vegetation and various crops such as vanilla, cloves, coffee, cinnamon give it
a fresh and unique aroma. Humpback whales passing from mid-June to September makes it even more attractive. Princesse Bora Lodge & Spa is a charming small eco-lodge, with 20 villas.
Days 12 and 13
Fly back to the Antananarivo for another overnight before returning to the UK.

Days 1-4
Fly from the UK to Dzaoudzi in Mayotte, known as Little Madagascar. Explore this little known island with its amazing reef and the chance to see Lemurs.
Days 5-8
Fly to Reunion, another unique island, home to one of the most active volcanoes in the world. Spectacular scenery and hiking on this mountainous tropical island.
Days 9-15
Fly to nearby Rodrigues, via Mauritius, and relax in the surroundings of your beach lodge/hotel and enjoy the beaches and many other activities and leisure facilities on offer on this charming tropical island, for a 5 night stay. Flight back to the UK.
